Hi! I'm Danli.
I am a 5th year PhD at the Machine Agency in HCDE, University of Washington.
I build scientific tools that make complex experiments more accessible—like wood that plants itself for reforestation, 3D printers that grow living materials from coffee grounds, and bioreactors that learn from their experiments.
My work lives at the intersection of HCI, materials science, and bio-inspired design.
I occasionally document fun things I create and I sporadically arrange snippets of everyday life into video stories.
I'm on the academic job market!
Let's play.
